Lerah Gordon is a Licensed Master Social Worker with more than three decades of experience across behavioral health, managed care, inpatient, outpatient, and crisis settings. She brings deep clinical expertise in utilization management, care coordination, crisis assessment, and treatment planning, along with a comprehensive understanding of medical necessity criteria and state and federal compliance regulations.
Throughout her career, Lerah has worked within complex healthcare systems, including long-term roles with Highmark and Magellan Behavioral Health, where she conducted initial evaluations and concurrent reviews, collaborated closely with physicians and multidisciplinary teams, supported discharge planning, and ensured continuity of care in fast-paced environments. She served for ten years as a Behavioral Health InterQual Trainer and has been recognized for her excellence in service and leadership, including receiving Highmark’s “Uplift” Award and Magellan’s “Service Excellence”.
Earlier in her career, Lerah provided direct clinical services in hospital, outpatient, residential, and crisis settings, including psychiatric social work, mobile crisis response, intake coordination, and outpatient therapy. She has extensive experience conducting crisis assessments, facilitating admissions to psychiatric units, managing high-volume caseloads, leading group therapy, and supporting adults with serious mental illness and intellectual or developmental disabilities.
