Katie Simpson
Support Services Coordinator
Katie Simpson is a Support Services Coordinator whose work strengthens every layer of CCS’s care continuum. She provides direct patient outreach, supports complex case operations, and facilitates seamless referrals across medical, behavioral health, legal, and community systems. She also coordinates essential advocacy services, including health care proxy and power of attorney designations, ensuring that clients remain securely connected to the resources and protections they need. Her work advances CCS’s mission to deliver coordinated, equitable, and patient-centered care, particularly for individuals facing systemic barriers or fragmented supports.
Katie’s relationship with CCS began as a full-time summer intern, where she immersed herself in the full scope of our multidisciplinary practice. Working alongside case managers, therapists, social workers, and nurses, she gained a comprehensive understanding of high-acuity care management. During that time, she led meticulous improvements to client data systems designed to streamline service coordination and elevate continuity of care.
A rising public health advocate, Katie is driven by a commitment to bridge clinical care, community engagement, and systems-level reform. She is pursuing a combined bachelor’s and master’s degree in Public Health at George Washington University. Her long-term goal is to develop multidisciplinary solutions and equitable policies that improve access and strengthen health networks in underserved communities.
Katie’s dedication to service is rooted in diverse experiences that deepened her understanding of trauma-informed, integrated support. At Los Angeles General Medical Center’s Violence Intervention Program, she shadowed clinicians supporting victims of child abuse, domestic violence, and sexual assault. She witnessed firsthand the transformative impact of coordinated medical, mental health, housing, and case management services. Her work with her local church’s food pantry further shaped her understanding of psychosocial determinants of health and the profound impact of food insecurity on well-being.
Whether analyzing systems, supporting client needs, or building processes that elevate the CCS standard, Katie brings the same discipline, tenacity, and pursuit of excellence that define her as a Division I athlete on GW’s Swim and Dive Team. Her rigor, warmth, and commitment to equity make her an essential part of the CCS high-touch, boutique approach to care.
