Amanda Mayer
Amanda Mayer is a Gerontologist and Senior Care Manager with more than a decade of experience advocating for and coordinating care for older adults. She specializes in guiding families through complex situations, including guardianship and Power of Attorney cases, ensuring that clients’ needs are comprehensively assessed and their rights and dignity upheld.
Amanda has held leadership positions across assisted living, memory care communities, group homes, and adult day programs. In these roles, she directed resident care, oversaw staff operations, ensured regulatory compliance, and built collaborative partnerships with healthcare providers and families. She also served as a Certified Volunteer Ombudsman, where she advocated for the rights and well-being of nursing home residents.
She holds a Master of Science in Gerontology from Iowa State University and a Bachelor of Science in Human Services with a concentration in Gerontology from Purdue University. As a Certified Manager of Care (CMC), Amanda combines academic training, program leadership, and a passion for advocacy to help older adults live with dignity, safety, and connection.
